Konjic at a glance
Konjic lies on the Neretva at the point where Herzegovina gives way to the mountainous part of Bosnia. The regional tourist board names the old stone bridge, rafting on the Neretva and Lake Boračko. The municipality adds the bunker ARK D-0.
This guide is independent. It is not run by the town, the bunker, a rafting company or the tourist board. Prices are the operators' published rates and can change. Bosnia uses the convertible mark (KM, or BAM), fixed at 1 euro = 1.95583 KM.

The old stone bridge
The old stone bridge over the Neretva is the landmark of Konjic, and the tourist board names it first. Its arches span a river with a turquoise color. Look at the river from both banks.
The bridge makes a good first stop while you decide whether to book the bunker or the river first.

ARK D-0, the Tito bunker
A former nuclear shelter and command bunker near Konjic.
What it is
The municipality says the bunker was built between 1953 and 1979. It served as a nuclear shelter and command bunker. It is often called Tito's bunker.
Guided visit
You can only visit with a guide, and you must book in advance. A visit takes about 90 minutes. Tours start every day at 09:00, 12:00 and 15:00.
Prices (2026)
The organizer, Travel Konjic, lists 40 KM (about €20.50) per person and 20 KM (about €10.20) for citizens and residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Children under 12 in the company of their parents enter free. The English version of the price list shows €21 and €11 instead, so confirm the price in your currency when you book. Groups of students and pupils can agree a discount.
Getting there
The provider lists free parking at the entrance and says it can arrange a transfer from the train or bus station. Ask about the price of the transfer when you book.
Rafting on the Neretva
Neretva Rafting Exclusive offers two trips. The full rafting package, with a barbecue meal, costs €50 per person. The length depends on the water level and the pace of the river. The mini rafting trip lasts about 1 hour and costs €25 per person. The operator lists dates from 20 April to 1 November.
Those are the operator's current offer prices. Confirm the dates and the price when you book. Ask about the minimum age, swimming requirements, safety equipment and cancellation, as these details differ between trips and operators.
Steep mountains rise above the Neretva canyon. Wear clothes that can get wet and bring a change of clothes.

Lake Boračko
The municipality lists Lake Boračko as a place for swimming, recreation and leisure. The lake lies between wooded hills. Conditions can vary from day to day, so look at the water before you swim. Entrance, parking and camping fees can differ, so ask locally.
Check the current timetable if you plan to use public transport, or come by car or with a tour.
Fit the sights into one day
The fixed bunker times set the order.
Book the bunker first
The bunker has three fixed tours at 09:00, 12:00 and 15:00, each about 90 minutes. Choose one and plan the rest around it.
Leave room for rafting
The length of the full rafting trip depends on the water level and the pace of the river. Do not book a bunker tour right after it. The mini trip of about 1 hour is easier to combine.
Add the lake or the bridge
The bridge needs little time. Lake Boračko suits a free afternoon, and the weather matters. See our weather page for monthly averages.
